I enjoyed creating this lovely prayer shawl for my lovely mother – to remind her of who she truly is:

Christ's Beloved

Like many women (myself included), she has struggled to see herself through God's eyes. To see her patience, love and compassion as the foundation of a restoring energy that everyone around her seeks and enjoys. To see all of her inner beauty overflow and cascade throughout her whole being.

To see her abundance of true, visible beauty.

After all, few things are more beautiful than a godly woman who knows how purely she is treasured and loved.

This beautiful woman is one of my favorite people. She always greets me with a joyful smile, a close hug, and thoughtful, spirit-filled questions. She loves to laugh, to learn, to grow, to live.

As well she should!

My sweet friend, Shelly, has fought for her life on more than one occasion. She has struggled through her body fighting against her, and emerged after each hard battle with God's praise on her lips.

All of her is beautiful, and I enjoyed every moment of crocheting this prayer shawl just for her.
